As a first priority, pipes and fittings, cooling water lines in ships, and pipelines in wastewater treatment plants and power plants must be permanently protected against corrosion.

A layer of VESTOSINT^® polyamide 12 powders plays an essential role in ensuring this protection.

The coating also shows very good chemical resistance to such operating media as grease, oils, and hydraulic fluids.

VESTOSINT^® shows excellent stress crack resistance and wear resistance.

Thanks to their smooth, non-porous surface, VESTOSINT^® coatings are not susceptible to microbial growth and are easy to clean (microbiological test in accordance with Working Specification W 270 of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW)).

The powders are usually applied in the fluidized-bed process. For on-site repair work or coating pipe bushings and tunnels, the flame-spray process is particularly favored.
